Knoll Updates Iconic Saarinen Collections

Now Available: New Saarinen icons with expanded versatility and warm materiality

Saarinen Pedestal Collection Now in Cream

Knoll introduces a new Cream base option for Saarinen Pedestal Tables, Tulip Chairs and Tulip Stools. Designed in 1958, Eero Saarinen resolved the "confusing, unrestful world" underneath tables and chairs with a sculptural pedestal base that brings visual and physical freedom to the surrounding architecture. The addition of the new Cream finish allows the pedestal design to harmonize with a wider range of materials and interiors.

The new base finish creates warmth in the surrounding environment and pairs beautifully with wood tabletops and warm marbles such as Verdi Alpi, Espresso, and Emperador Light. It’s offered in the same gloss and reflects light in the same manner as the white and black bases. On the Tulip Chair, the new Cream finish opens new upholstery options, bringing understated warmth to fabrics and leathers.

By introducing Cream, Knoll extends the longevity and relevance of one of its most foundational classics. The purity and sculptural simplicity of the Saarinen Pedestal Collection have been celebrated for three quarters of a century, and the new colorway supports the brand’s commitment to keeping its architectural icons aligned with contemporary needs.

Saarinen Executive Chair Materials Expansion

Introducing the Saarinen Executive Chair with a wood veneer back. A symbol of modern elegance since 1950, the timeless silhouette created by Eero Saarinen is seen through a new lens with a slim back that celebrates the warmth and beauty of natural wood.

The option of the Wood Veneer Back gives the Saarinen Executive Chair more range in how it relates to interiors and other furniture. It will harmonize beautifully with wood tables and desks while bringing Saarinen’s architectural language to a wider variety of homes and workplaces.

The wood veneer back design unites the signature comfort and sculptural elegance of the Saarinen Executive Chair with refined craftsmanship and material richness. The available finishes for the veneer back match the finishes offered for the chair’s wood legs.
